5-Day striker specific camp

For all players looking to hone their scoring ability this camp is right for you.

• Receive the repetition that is sometimes hard to gain at an organized team practice.
• Receive explicit detailed instruction by coaching staff to improve proficiency
• Learn fundamentals on finishing
• Familiarity with striking a ball with various parts of the foot
• Develop a striker savvy. Learn movements specific for goal scorers that put them in better goal scoring opportunities. Example, off the CB & movement into attacking 3rd
• 1 v 1 ‘s and 1st touch to create around the 18 yard box

OVERVIEW

Work with Astra Academies top coaches through a challenging curriculum dedicated to the art of creating and scoring goals. This camp is a great opportunity for players to improve their technique, offensive skills in the attacking third, passing, dribbling, shooting, and scoring from crosses, volleys, and headers. Players do not have to play striker to attend.

ABCs and Fundamentals

For Boys and Girls born in 2008/09/10/11 who want to hone the fundamentals, earn confidence with the ball at their feet, learn challenging skill moves, and experience pure enjoyment and gain a better understanding of playing the game of soccer! Players of all ability are welcome!

Join our experienced and compassionate Astra coaches for this week.
The key piece is FUN unstructured Structure
Every day ends with a fun and enjoyable small sided games where kids can freely express themselves and showcase their skills.

CAMP COACHES

Chris Zoller

Educator by trade who holds two degrees. A former player and assistant coach at the University Soccer level. Holds a Canada National B license and is currently Astra Academy Program Director.

Javier Reyes

Masters Degree in Sports Physiology and a decorated coaching resume which includes Independiente (Argentina), River Plate (Argentina), and Millonarios FC (Columbia)

Chico Farahani

Extensive playing experience at the various levels; USports, Semi Pro, Pro. Currently, University of Saskatchewan Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach, Astra Academy Assistant Director of Coach and Player Development. Roche Martin Certified; Emotional Intelligence Practitioner.
